You can now download Mailbox for iPhone.

Gmail has been always an important part of iOS — Apple incorporated it to the iPod touch back in 2006. Since then, Apple’s email ecosystem has stayed almost the same, with critics saying it feels old and outdated.

Developer Orchestra has come up with an app that will try to change the game. Meet Mailbox, a completely redesigned email app:

Mailbox is free but, as it has been highly anticipated, it’s creators set up a reservation website “in order to provide a robust, world-class email service”.

Users who reserved the app can now redeem their private code and then “watch the line move” to start using Mailbox.

To those who didn’t know about the reservation website, don’t worry. The service will soon be available for everyone.
