Use Amazon Instant Video on your iPad or iPhone outside the U.S.
Here at EPELTECH we are proud to show you how to use a new service provided by Amazon.
Two days ago it was launched Amazon Instant Video, an app that lets you watch on-demand content on your iPad and iPhone with great quality.
The downside to this is that, even though Amazon has branches in Europe including the UK and Spain, videos are only available in the United States. Luckily, there is a way around this “problem”.
Follow these steps:
1. Download Amazon Instant Video on the U.S. App Store.
2. You will need an American Apple ID – click here to find out how to get one.
3. Go to Amazon.com and subscribe to Amazon Prime (you will need a credit card, doesn´t matter from which country it is).
4. Get a VPN. This is the tricky part because most of the U.S. services cost (we are trying to find a free one). VPN Authority lets you get a free VPN for two days with a quick registration and no credit card details, something that works great because Amazon Prime´s subscription is free for two days.
5. Follow the instructions to set up your VPN network on an iPad/iPhone
6. Start the VPN service
7. Open Amazon Instant video and select an episode or movie
8. VPN Authority will disconnect after a few minutes, but don´t mind that, your content will continue playing
And there you have it! Amazon Instant Video on your iPad or iPhone.
If you have a jailbroken iDevice you will need to download xCon for free on the Cydia Store.
