Hands-on Lima Installer

Thanks to Lima Installer you can install Cydia tweaks through your iDevice´s mobile Safari.

Thanks to madlinkinpark1, we got our hands on a beta of Lima Installer. This tweak lets you install Cydia apps by opening Safari, avoiding you spending valuable time while this store loads, something I think is great.

Cydia can get on your nerves every time you launch the app because it has to load every single time to verify its sources, making the task of installing a tweak an epic one depending on your Internet connection.

People who registered to be beta testers have received a link to gain access and start using the plug-in, before it goes public sometime soon.

As their moto says: “The future, happening now…”, I think this is breaking the barrier between software and platform, because it is not necessary to launch a third-party app to install something, you just need to open Safari and do it. This way feels more natural.

Lima installer´plug in opens a tab on Safari and on the webpage you´ll find four categories:

Home

Sections

Search

More

On the section part you will find all the Cydia categories and a search bar, as if you were using the official store. If you press on one of the tweak it will have a install button on the upper-right corner, and if you proceed a bar will show you the process as it takes place.

Then just go to the home screen to find the tweak you installed. Is that simple.
